On Friday, June 14, 30 participants of Internship Premium together with mentors, employees of OTP Bank, celebrated their graduation from the program. For a month, students followed a comprehensive curriculum where they explored banking and practiced skills in their chosen areas.
In the opening speech, Anton Covaliov, Head of the Recruitment and Career Management Section, thanked the students for their involvement and invited them to consolidate knowledge gained in future placements: "Dear students, I congratulate you for overcoming a demanding experience. We have already had discussions with several of you about employment. I would like to reiterate the message conveyed during the internship: OTP Bank remains open to young people with the dedication and curiosity you have shown. At the end of your studies, we invite you as future colleagues."
On the eve of the awards, students actively engaged in an interactive feedback session to shape future editions. Guided by the concept of design thinking, the participants highlighted the importance and success of interaction with mentors and outlined a vision of a program focused on introductory sessions, practical tasks and one-on-one time with mentors.
Neolina Ciumac, a student at the Center for Excellence in Economics and Finance shared her experience: ”Internship Premium helped me raise my knowledge to the next level. I met admirable and eager to help people who inspired me to pursue a career in banking. I would like to thank an excellent mentor - Elena Roman, Team Leader, Strategy Planning and Control Department, who guided me in financial analysis, completing my placement report, but also in discussions about my future career. We'll keep in touch and hopefully become colleagues at some point.”
The event ended with an awarding ceremony. Valeria Marinescu, the coordinator of the Internship Premium Program and the organizer of the event, Team Leader of the Recruitment and Career Management Section, handed out participation diplomas alongside mentors and wished the students success in finishing their studies and in their chosen professional path.
OTP Bank organizes Internship Premium program each year to facilitate development of banking career skills among the students of State University of Moldova, the Academy of Economic Studies, the International Free University and the Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance.
